Project Status

Spring 2012
This project will renovate the play area at the Montlake Community Center. Planning for the project has begun, and will be designed by an in-house landscape architect.

BUDGET	The Parks and Green Spaces Levy allocates $550,000 for the planning, design and construction for this project.
SCHEDULE	Planning: Spring 2012 Design: Summer/Fall 2012 Construction: Winter/Spring 2012 Completion: Late Spring 2012

Project Description

This project will provide for replacement of play equipment, access improvements and other work at this existing play area.

The scope of this project brings the play area into compliance with current play area safety standards and guideline efforts of the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) as well as meets the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
