Seattle Parks is working with the City's Fleets and Facilities Department to preserve a 20-acre forested site in the greenbelt, just south of South Seattle Community College. The nonprofit group Nature Consortium and community members have been working to preserve and restore this site, commonly referred to as the Soundway property. - In 2001, Seattle Parks and Recreation purchased a wooded 10-acre site in the West Duwamish Greenbelt that forms a significant link in one of Seattle's largest wildlife habitat corridors. The property was a very high priority in the community for preservation. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
