Construction is nearing completion on the renovated field. Parks modified the original plans for the improvement project to include accommodation of high school baseball practice. This change includes barrier fence netting around portions of the field to protect cars and spectators from errant foul balls.

In response to a request from the community and with the support of the Superintendent, this project also completed the safety fencing at the north end of the site.
