Construction is nearing completion on the renovated field. Parks
modified the original plans for the improvement project to include
accommodation of high school baseball practice. This change includes
barrier fence netting around portions of the field to protect cars
and spectators from errant foul balls.
In response to a request from the community and with the support
of the Superintendent, this project also completed the safety
fencing at the north end of the site.

| PROJECT DESCRIPTION |
This project will convert the nearly three acres of sand/clay field surface into synthetic and natural turf. The synthetic turf portion will accommodate soccer and one baseball field.
The existing northeast softball backstop and fencing are slated for removal, and the one-half-acre sand surface that does not overlap the soccer field is intended to be converted to natural grass for drop-in community use.
