PROJECT STATUS

June 2009
Thank you Seattle! This project is complete.

Construction fencing came down on June 19, 2009 and the community celebrated the fabulous new gathering space on June 20, 2009 with music and treats. The installation of the renovated historic arch from the Martha Washington School is nearing completion.

The Pro Parks Levy provides $441,600 project costs of planning, design and construction.
SCHEDULE
Planning:Started in 2006.
Design:Summer 2008
Construction:Winter 2008
Completion:Spring 2009

PROJECT DESCRIPTION


This project replaces existing asphalt paving with new compacted crushed rock pathways and concrete paved focal areas. New seating will be provided and the existing turf shall be restored.

The project will also include the restoration and relocation of an arch from the demolished Martha Washington School.
