Barbara has an extensive background in policy development, public administration and urban planning. She joined the Planning Commission staff in 2003, first as an urban planner/ analyst and then taking over as the Executive Director in 2005. Before coming to the City of Seattle she did outreach and policy advocacy for nonprofit organizations such as the National Wildlife Federation, the Northwest Energy Coalition, and Citizen Action. She has a Masters of Public Administration at the University of Washington Daniel J. Evans School and earned her BA at the University of California at San Diego.

Katie has worked on urban planning and design related topics in Seattle over most of the past decade, for both the public and private sectors. Her experience includes working with teams on projects ranging from conceptual design of light rail stations, inventory of neighborhood business
districts, and research of historic properties. She received Master's Degrees in both public administration and urban planning from the University
of Washington.

Robin Magonegil worked for over 10 years in the non profit social justice realm before coming to the Planning Commission. She holds degrees in English, Philosophy & Art History with a Master's Degree in Literature. Robin uses her extensive administrative skills to keep the Commission running smoothly.

Diana comes to Seattle’s Planning Commission staff from the City of Bellevue. During her ten years with Bellevue, Diana performed research and analysis to inform a variety of long-range planning efforts, including the City’s Critical Areas Update and Bel-Red Corridor Study. She also had lead responsibility for analyzing local demographic and economic trends, and produced reports on these trends to help inform programs and policies. Diana received her Bachelor’s Degree from Pomona College and completed a Master's Degree at the UW Evans School of Public Affairs.

Lee Roberts is a concurrent Master of Architecture and Master of Urban Planning graduate student at UW. He has experience in all phases of architectural design and construction, most recently with NAC Architecture. Lee worked as a daylighting consultant at the UW Integrated Design Lab and is interested in urban design, participatory planning, and sustainable design.
