Police Headquarters

ABOUT THE BUILDING

Opened in 2002, Seattle Police Headquarters shares the Seattle Justice Center with the Seattle Municipal Court. The Seattle Justice Center was designed as part of the larger city-wide Civic Center Project.

While Headquarters is located in downtown Seattle, it primarily houses administrative and investigative police functions. Headquarters does not function operationally as a precinct for downtown. Patrol duties for the downtown area fall under the West Precinct, located at 810 Virginia.

HOURS OF OPERATION

Police Headquarters is open Monday through Friday
between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

If you have a scheduled appointment with a Police Employee who works in Headquarters, enter in the main lobby and check in with the Officer at the front desk.

The public request unit handles a wide variety of police services, and is located in lobby of the Seattle Police Department Headquarters Building. The last request for the day is taken at 4:30 p.m. You do not need an appointment.
