The East Precinct reports there was a citizen complaint of graffiti problems behind the old QFC building located in the 500 block of Broadway Avenue East. Sgt. Shin requested that Officer Sundin follow up on this problem. The graffiti occurred about 1415 hours on Dec 10th. Officer Sundin was aware that Officer Garza arrested graffiti suspects in Cal Anderson Park this same date at 1630 hours. Officer Sundin obtained incident reports, event history, and booking photos from Officer Garza’s arrest. Officer Sundin contacted the complainant, as the suspect description in the QFC graffiti case was very similar to the Cal Anderson suspects. Officer Sundin then constructed photomontages of the suspects from Officer Garza’s arrest to show a witness in the QFC case. The witness made positive identification on the suspect. The investigative follow up will be presented to Seattle City Attorney for charges.
