6:20 - 6:40 Bicycle Parking Requirements - Ben Hansen from SDOT’s
Pavement Management group will explain pavement management and SDOT’s
re-paving plan for 2006. 6:40 - 8:00 Board Business: 6:40 - 6:50 WTSC Corridor Traffic Safety
Program - The Washington
Traffic Safety Commission’s Corridor Safety Program reduces collisions
on roadways using low-cost, near-term solutions. Rainier Ave S. has been selected
as one of these corridor safety projects. A Task Force has been organized to
help identify problems and develop solutions. Board member Stephanie Innis,
who has represented the SBAB on the Task Force, will update the board on the
status of this project. 6:50 - 7:00 South Lake Union - Stephanie Innis will describe opportunities to improve conditions for bicyclists in the South Lake Union neighborhood, including the update to the Neighborhood Plan. 7:00 - 7:10 SR-519 - Pauh will distribute the SR-519 plans (currently under construction). 7:10 - 7:20 Transportation Levy - Mayor Nickels will be proposing a transportation levy for the ballot in 2006. The board will discuss this opportunity for funding bicycling related improvements. 7:20 - 7:40 Legal & Police Enforcement Issues - The Board will discuss various legal and enforcement issues in preparation for inviting various representatives from the Seattle Police Department. 7:40 - 7:50 Board Retreat & End of Year Reporting - The Board will discuss organizing a retreat in early 2006 and completing an end of year report. 7:50 - 7:55 King County Parking Garage - No bike parking was planned for King County’s new parking garage on 5th Ave and James St., even though the parking garage it is replacing had a large quantity of bike parking capacity. 7:55 - 8:00 Bike Expo - The SBAB will discuss participating in Bike Expo, 2006. |
