SUSANNAH MALARKEY
Executive
Director of the Technology Alliance
Susannah Malarkey
is the Executive Director of the Technology
Alliance (TA), a statewide organization
dedicated to promoting the health of the
technology sector in Washington state. Founded
in 1996, the Alliance is comprised primarily of
technology-based businesses, their trade
associations, and research institutions.
She has been the
Executive Director of the Alliance since its
inception, and manages TA programs that include:
the Alliance of Angels, a venture capital
organization for technology startups; the Smart
Tools Academy, a technology training program for
principals and superintendents of K-12 schools;
and the Technology Institute, an educational
program for Washington state legislative
leaders.
Prior to assuming
her current position, she was the Director of
Public Policy Programs for the Greater Seattle
Chamber of Commerce for five years. She served
as the Executive Director of Business Volunteers
for the Arts from 1987-1995, and spent the five
years previous to that working in community
outreach and public relations for KCTS, Seattle’s
public television station.
She has a masters
degree in public affairs and bachelors degree in
community services, both from the University of
Oregon.
This
