Hundreds of popular yearly events in downtown Seattle include the Macy's Holiday Parade, the Seafair Torchlight Parade, dozens of walks and runs for charitable organizations, and conventions and trade shows at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center, such as the Flower and Garden Show.
Ride the Seattle Monorail north to Seattle Center and the iconic city landmark, the Space Needle. To the west lies the Waterfront area with ferries, cruise ships and port and maritime attractions and businesses. To the east are the neighborhoods First Hill and Capitol Hill. To the south is the Chinatown-International District, which also houses the international and founding headquarters of Starbucks Coffee.
