Two teams interviewed 35 businesses in the Duwamish and Ballard manufacturing and industrial centers from January through March 2006. Industrial and trucking intensive businesses were selected representing:

• trucking and freight transportation,
• vessel repair,
• shipyards,
• marine towing,
• construction,
• marine terminal operators,
• food processing and distribution,
• biotechnology, and
• retail.

Businesses size ranged from 50-1000 + employees. Those interviewed serve a diverse range of customer market areas, ranging from local to global. To see the list of participants click here.
