Parking Tax Analysis (2002)

October 14, 2002

The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) is pleased to release the Parking Tax Analysis report, developed with input from a Stakeholder Advisory Committee. City staff initiated the study in June 2002.

The Parking Tax Analysis report was done in conjunction with the Parking Management Study report and looked at the economic and equity impacts of a potential parking tax. The report highlights how the commercial parking market works currently and likely property owner, parking facility operator and parking patron tax impacts and perspectives on a tax.
