Safety Education

Below is a sample of Rainier Traffic Safety Project outreach to encourage safe behaviors. Posters, cling-ons (transparent stickers) and bookmarks are available in Somali, Spanish, Chinese and Vietnamese are available upon request. In 2007 and 2008, billboards were installed in four week periods, in four different locations illustrating the consequences of unsafe behavior.

In 2008, safety decals decals illustrating good pedestrian and bicycling habits were placed on traffic signal cabinets in 19 locations along the corridor.
