You and your neighbors are invited to attend a meeting hosted by the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) to discuss upcoming Seattle Streetcar construction in the Downtown area.

South Lake Union Streetcar Groundbreaking and Block Party

On Friday, July 7, 2006, when United States Senator Patty Murray, Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels and Washington State Representative Ed Murray will kicked-off South Lake Union Streetcar construction and thanked those who have helped to make the streetcar a reality.

Terry Avenue North- between Harrison Street and Republican Street

Light lunch and refreshments provided.

By the end of 2007, a modern streetcar will be operational and connecting over 350,000 riders annually to the places they live, work, and socialize in South Lake Union, Denny Triangle and the Downtown Retail Core.

June 5, 2006 Construction Open House

In advance of streetcar construction the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) is hosting an open house to inform the public about South Lake Union Streetcar utility and rail construction that is scheduled to begin late June of 2006.

You and your neighbors are invited to attend and learn more about the South Lake Union Streetcar, how it will be built, and possible construction impacts or interruptions. Members of the streetcar team will be there to answer your questions.

5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, June 5, 2006
Grand Hall in the Naval Reserve Building
860 Terry Avenue North (cross street North Valley Street)

Brief presentation and question session starts at 6:00 p.m.

Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
