Stewart Street – 1st Avenue to Eastlake Avenue

Location of Project: Stewart Street: 1st Avenue to Eastlake Avenue

Purpose/benefit of project: The purpose of the project is to address the maintenance needs as required by SDOT”s nine-year pavement maintenance paving program. Additional benefits include new ADA ramps, bicycle safe grates, bicycle loops, and METRO amenities as required by the City’s Complete Streets project.

Brief description of project: Stewart Street : 1st Avenue to Eastlake Avenue
The improvements shall consist of preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for:

• Resurfacing Stewart Street from 1st Avenue to Eastlake Avenue including any pavement repairs and minor drainage issues
• ADA ramp upgrades
• Replacement of any and all traffic and system loops affected by pavement work
• Channelization
• Coordination with utilities and developments in the area

• METRO
• Federal Highway Administration & WSDOT Local Programs (federal funding not yet determined)
