Seattle's Center City Streetcar Network: Links

On July 20, 2006, SDOT in cooperation with the Seattle Streetcar Alliance held an all-day workshop to develop concepts for a Center City Streetcar Network. The consultant firm Nelson/Nygaard helped facilitate the session aided by SDOT staff and other transportation specialists. Workshop participants first developed evaluation criteria to help determine possible new alignments and test their feasibility. Later in the day, Alliance members and the general public were invited to view the results.

What follows are two PowerPoint presentations that were used during the workshop. The first is a general overview of Seattle's Transit Plan and streetcars and the second reviews criteria for evaluating streetcar line feasibility.
