Residential Buildings
Take advantage of SPU’s technical assistance and financial incentives for green building—whether you are a homeowner or developer, remodeling or starting from scratch.
Remodeling?
Get help here! Seattle Public Utilities offers in-depth Green Home Remodel guides (see link below) to Seattle residents on topics from roofing to kitchens to painting, along with free classes, a monthly newsletter, and seasonal lecture series.
Building new?
Use the Built Green program to make your home more environmentally friendly, efficient, and healthier to live in. This program of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties confers a rating on the final project that helps convey your home’s overall performance to prospective buyers (see link below for details).
Multifamily Developers:
Receive a cash incentive for using the Built Green program on your multifamily project. See the link below for details about this joint program of Seattle City Light and Seattle Public Utilities.
