Payment Assistance
Assistance for Seniors and Disabled Persons
Customers can save up to 50% of your Seattle Public Utilities water, sewer and garbage bill and receive a reduction to their drainage fee if they meet one of the following:
- • A senior citizen over age 65
- • A disabled person who receives certain disability payments
- • Blind
- • On life support
AND their income is at or below 70% of the state median income.

Low-Income Assistance
A customer can save up to 50% of their Seattle Public Utilities water, sewer, garbage and drainage bill regardless of age or disability if their:
- • Household income is at or below 200% of federal poverty level.

Credits for Non-SPU Customers
Qualified customers who do not receive a Seattle Public Utilities bill, but who receive a Seattle City Light bill, can receive the following credits per month for 2008:
