Be a Site Steward

As a Site Steward, you will make a commitment to care for a section of creek by looking after native plants, removing invasive weeds, and monitoring conditions on your site.

You may work independently on your adopted site, or can chose to act as a Work Party Leader for your site. As a Work Party Leader you can organize friends, neighbors, co-workers, or organizations and hold regular events at your site. Whichever option you chose, the Creek Steward Program will support your efforts with tools, learning materials, and event advertising.

You can view available adoption sites in your neighborhood watershed.

For more information, or to register your section of creek, contact Chris May at (206) 386-4270 or chris.may@seattle.gov or Deb Heiden at (206) 386-1802 or deb.heiden@seattle.gov.
