Recycling organizations
Many recycling organizations accept unwanted televisions and other electronics, including computers and VCRs. See the Take It Back Network for details. There may be charge for recycling your electronic equipment, due to collection and processing costs.
Because televisions and other electronics may contain heavy metals, such as mercury and lead, they cannot be put in your garbage or recycling cans at home.
