There are several organization that take and redistribute used eye glasses. The Lions Club collects used glasses; the lenses are reground and given to people in need. See Donate Seattle to find a collection location near you.

Or, return un-needed eyeglasses to your local LensCrafters, Pearle Vision, Sears Optical, Target Optical, Sunglass Hut store. These centers are affiliated with a program called Give the Gift of Sight.

If they are damaged, they can go in the garbage.
