Recycle used oil for free!

At retail locations: Ask where you buy your oil, or see King County's website to find a location near you.

At the curb: Set out oil (next to your recycling cart) in tightly sealed 1-gallon containers. 2 gallon limit.

At the Transfer Station: Pour into special collection containers. 5 gallon limit per trip.

Motor oil for recycling must not be contaminated with solvents, bleach, or other wastes. If the oil is contaminated, take it to a HHW location. Never pour motor oil on the ground or down the drain.
