For the Transfer Station, empty barrels and drums must be cut in half. Clean metal can be recycled. Plastic and dirty metal go in the pit.

Sealed drums not accepted. Drums that held hazardous waste not accepted - call the Health Department at (206) 296-4633 for help. Look in the Yellow Pages under "barrels and drums" for a reuse/recycling dropoff location.
