Car parts are not accepted for recycling at the curb or transfer station because of grease contamination.

Ask at an auto parts store about repair options. Trade in your old part when you buy a new one. Scrap dealers also take car parts - see the Yellow Pages under Scrap Metal-Process and Recycle.
