Recycle at Your Business
Commercial Recycling
Free recycling assistance
The Resource Venture, a partnership between The City of Seattle and the Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce, provides free recycling assistance to all Seattle businesses. Contact them online (see link below) or by phone at (206) 343-8505.
Free limited-service cart recycling
If you have a City of Seattle commercial garbage account, you are eligible for free cart recycling service. The service is limited to two (2) recycling carts, collected every other week. For more information, contact your City of Seattle garbage company:

Private recycling services
Seattle businesses can also request recycling service from any private recycling company. Many recycling companies will pay customers for recyclable materials. For referrals to private providers, contact Resource Venture online (see link below) or by phone at (206) 389-7304.
Self-haul recycling
If your business doesn’t need regular recycling service, you can take accepted materials to the Recycling and Disposal Stations (see link below for hours, locations, and materials accepted.). There is no charge for recycling loads.
New Recycling Rules
A new City of Seattle ordinance, #121372, requires all businesses to recycle paper, cardboard and yard debris starting January 1, 2005. The ordinance is designed to increase Seattle's recycling rate, conserve resources and lower the cost of doing business. To learn more about the ordinance, please see the link below.
